ICSE AFRICASUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISE

ICSE Africa

Privacy Policy

Effective 5 November 2026.

Scope

ICSE Africa operates a continental information website and country directory. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse, email us or follow a link to a national chapter. Country websites operate their own registration and membership services, and their privacy notices apply to information submitted there.

Information collected

We receive the information you choose to provide when emailing us, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. Hosting and security systems may process limited technical data including the requested page, device or browser information, IP address and error or security logs. The continental website does not host user accounts, national registration applications or online payments.

Purposes

Information is used to respond to correspondence, handle partnership enquiries, maintain appropriate business records, protect website availability, investigate abuse and satisfy applicable legal obligations. We do not regard a general enquiry as permission to share your information indiscriminately with unrelated parties.

Legal bases

Processing is undertaken where allowed by applicable data protection law, including where necessary to respond to your request, perform appropriate operational tasks, comply with obligations or act on valid consent. Where consent is the relevant legal basis, it may be withdrawn subject to applicable rules.

Sharing and international handling

Limited information may be processed by web hosting and email service providers, professional advisers or authorities as required by law. A specific introduction to a national chapter or business partner may involve sharing information with an appropriate lawful basis and your knowledge where required. International handling is subject to applicable safeguards.

Security and retention

We take reasonable measures to restrict access and protect information. No internet service offers absolute protection. Information is held only for as long as reasonably necessary for correspondence, operational records and legal or dispute obligations, after which it is deleted or otherwise handled appropriately.

Privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity. Concerns can also be raised with a relevant data protection regulator.

External national websites

Selecting a country opens a separately operated chapter website with its own member services, terms and privacy rules. Review those notices before supplying personal or confidential commercial information.

Changes

This policy may be updated when processing activities or requirements change. The latest version appears on this website.
